CERÊS is more than a name - it is the story of a discovery. At one time, the idea of an unseen planet orbiting the sun was little more than theory. But scientists spent centuries systematically scouring the universe until finally, a small star emitting a mysterious shadowy gleam was found. They gave it the name CERÊS.
Architect and investor Moritz Lau-Engehausen let this story inspire his unique vision for a design hotel: a place just as small and remote. For some, CERÊS also represents the fruit of an intense quest.
Only through a high level of autonomy could the vision of this special brand of travel be realised. Like a kaleidoscope, Moritz Lau-Engehausen fused the building blocks of architecture, design, philosophy and positioning into a fascinating new blend - CERÊS.
